Everest Group promotes Hanrahan
The Bermudian-based global re/insurer Everest Group has made Craig Hanrahan its global distribution and chief commercial officer, effective August 1.
Mr Hanrahan will continue to report directly to Jim Williamson, Everest’s chief executive, serving as a member of the firm’s executive leadership team.
In his new role, Mr Hanrahan will lead Everest’s global distribution strategy and key commercial relationships across its insurance and reinsurance businesses, partnering closely with business leaders to advance Everest’s commitment to delivering exceptional service, underwriting expertise and long-term value to clients and brokers worldwide.
“Craig is a highly respected leader with deep market relationships and a proven track record of delivering results,” Mr Williamson said. “As we continue to strengthen our global distribution capabilities, Craig’s leadership will deepen our partnerships, deliver greater value to clients and brokers and advance our disciplined growth strategy.”
The CEO said Mr Hanrahan’s collaborative approach and industry experience made him the right leader to strengthen Everest’s position as a partner of choice across the global insurance and reinsurance marketplace.
Mr Hanrahan most recently served as head of US retail insurance, where he led Everest’s US retail insurance portfolio across commercial property, casualty, financial lines and industry practice solutions.
Since joining Everest in 2024 as northeast regional executive officer, he also served as head of North America field operations, leading the company’s four American retail regions and strengthening underwriting, service, claims and distribution capabilities nationwide.
