Husayn Symonds has been promoted to membership and stakeholder engagement officer with Bermuda International Long Term Insurers and Reinsurers.

The regulatory policy analyst, communicator and organisational leader was hired by Biltir in April 2025 as its policy administrator and member relations officer.

In his new role, Mr Symonds will strengthen engagement with Biltir’s members and key stakeholders while supporting the association’s strategic initiatives, advocacy efforts and community engagement, the organisation said.

“He will also play a leading role in enhancing the member experience across Bermuda’s long-term re/insurance sector,” added a Biltir spokesman.

Mr Symonds said he was “humbled” to serve “a great organisation” doing meaningful work for the re/insurance industry and Bermuda.

“I am looking forward to what lies ahead,” he said in a LinkedIn post.

He thanked Biltir’s chief executive Suzanne Williams for her belief in him.
