Women in Reinsurance Bermuda has launched ReWiRe, its flagship event for women in reinsurance.

The inaugural conference will be held on October 29 at the Hamilton Princess Hotel & Beach Club. Organisers aim to provide a day of thought-provoking discussion and meaningful connection.

“Women will leave with new ideas, stronger relationships and greater confidence for what comes next,” a WiRe spokeswoman said.

Peta White, chair of WiRe Bermuda and president of Vantage Risk said: “When we started thinking about ReWiRe, we asked ourselves what would make women in our industry want to take a day out of their busy schedules to be there.”

The group wanted to offer a day of honest conversations, sharp insight from industry experts, and genuine connection for women at every stage of their careers.

“As WiRe’s new signature event, we want every attendee to leave feeling energised, connected and equipped to make their next move with confidence,” Ms White said. “I’m proud of what the WiRe team is building. I can’t wait to see the room come together this October.”

The programme will feature keynote presentations, industry and leadership panels, interactive breakout sessions, technical and professional development content and dedicated networking throughout the day.

Discussions will examine the macroeconomic and geopolitical shifts reshaping risk and markets, the evolution of third-party capital, leadership and career progression, financial wellbeing and the changing demands of a modern reinsurance career.

June Sarpong will deliver the inaugural keynote. She is an internationally recognised broadcaster, award-winning author and former global director of creative diversity at the BBC.

She frequently speaks about leadership, inclusion and cultural transformation. Her keynote will explore how women can develop their presence and authority in the industry.

Early registration will be offered exclusively to WiRe members at $350 per person, ahead of registration opening to the wider market.

Earlybird spaces are limited.

WiRe membership is free and open to professional women working in reinsurance, as well as those whose roles involve daily interaction with the industry, including professionals in legal, regulatory, financial, broking and analytics fields.

Members receive access to WiRe’s professional development, networking and mentoring opportunities, along with member discounts at WiRe events.
