Aon has launched CyQu Marketplace, a new capability within its cyber-risk offering to help businesses act on assessment findings by connecting them with cybersecurity service providers and potential mitigation solutions to identified control gaps.

Businesses identifying cyber vulnerabilities could more quickly prioritise and address the areas that could have the greatest impact on their cyber resilience, the global professional services firm said.

It also provides organisations with a way to demonstrate risk improvement efforts and progress to insurers as part of the underwriting process.

Brent Rieth, global cyber leader at Aon noted that while businesses know more about cyber than ever before, many still face challenges turning those insights into action.

He said: “As cyberthreats continue to evolve, determining where to focus resources and which actions will have the greatest impact on reducing risk and supporting broader risk financing objectives has never been more critical.

“CyQu Marketplace helps clients prioritise risk improvement efforts, make more informed cybersecurity investment decisions and better demonstrate cyber maturity to insurers.”

Aon’s recent Global Risk Management Survey shows cyber-risk remains a leading concern for organisations, topping the global risk agenda and forecast to retain the number one position through 2028.

The research found a 53 per cent year-on-year increase in social-engineering incidents, alongside a 233 per cent increase in social engineering and fraud claims, amid the rise of AI-enabled threats including deepfakes.

Bridging the gap, CyQu Marketplace enables clients to identify potential risk improvement opportunities based on assessed cyber exposures and security control gaps.

Aon said it also helps them prioritise and access cybersecurity services that may help address identified risks and improve resilience.

Clients are able to demonstrate cyber maturity and risk improvement efforts to support insurer engagement and underwriting discussions.

CyQu Marketplace forms part of Aon’s broader cyber-risk offering which combines risk assessment, mitigation, analytics and risk transfer and recovery capabilities into an integrated client experience.
