CG BritCay pays clients instead of healthcare providers

CG BritCay, a subsidiary of Bermuda’s Coralise Group say corrective action is under way (Photograph supplied)

A subsidiary of Bermuda-based insurer Coralisle Group is in the news for accidentally sending payments to clients rather than their medical providers.

The Cayman Compass has reported that the error impacted around 20 customers and delayed payments worth thousands of dollars.

A spokesman for the firm told the newspaper that the problem is being rectified.

“Impacted clients are being duly notified and corrective action is under way,” CG Britcay said. “No affected insured clients remain out of pocket, and the provider will receive payment in full.”

The issue began in the middle of last month.

The event happened a month after the insurer received four gold and one silver award in the 2026 Best of Cayman Awards. Hosted annually by Compass Media, the awards celebrate the British Overseas Territory’s top businesses, services and organisations.
