Join Activate Bermuda today for a free, virtual conference aimed at helping everyone to “reset”.

According to Rasheeda Burgess, viewers will learn valuable lessons about relationships and finance and benefit from keynote speaker Dwayne S. Caines's message.

“Due to Covid we've had to adjust our tactics,” she said, explaining that the event, which takes place live on Facebook and YouTube, was organised in lieu of a leadership conference Activate had planned for July that was cancelled.

“What we decided to do was take our theme, ‘Release, Renew, Reset', and condense it to meet the current needs. ‘Reset' became spiritually applicable. As we take a look of all what's going on, we wanted to not just set it again, but set it differently. This is a challenge to all, to reset the things we have been doing, differently.”

The Reverend Cyril Simmons and Regina Simmons will lead the session on finances. Together they will discuss “kingdom currency, the aspect of giving to receive, tithes” and how believers should be “resetting” the way they “steward [their] finances”.

Germaine Mikhail, from Tulsa, Oklahoma, will look at the various aspects of relationships and their seasons — single, dating, engaged, married, widowed, divorced — and how people interact as friends.

Dr Mikhail's aim is to help people better understand “the seasons of people in our lives — when to cut relationships off and when to keep and persevere”.

Activate Bermuda is an inter-denominational Christian group which formed last year with the desire to transform “church as usual” and encourage millennials into a closer relationship with God.

“It is always our hope that our viewers would come away with a desire to pursue God fully, to know and experience Christ, and to activate the calling of God on their lives,” said Ms Burgess, Activate's chairwoman. “We want to encourage everyone to jump into the fullness of God and not be spectators in this Christian walk but be active, be hungry and transformed.”
