Young teams set to tour

The Bermuda Rugby Football Union (BRFU) has selected a team for a national under-16 tour of Ontario, Canada, next month.

The touring team will be training three days a week leading up to the tour, which will see them take on top local opposotion such as Trinity College.

A representative team has also been picked for a national under-12 tour of Dublin, Ireland, next month.

Over the past few years the side has been busy competing in mini rugby festivals in the UK 2007 and 2009 and in the Cayman Islands in 2008 and 2010.

The tour leaves Bermuda on April 29 and will include two select matches on April 30 against Willow Park, one of the most competitive schools in Dublin at this age group.

They will also play an inter-schools tournament on Sunday, May 1 with there other Dublin schools, followed by a match against another school on Monday, May 2.

Earlier this month the side held a Keep Bermuda Beautiful fundraiser at Bernard Park and will be organising a carwash and bake sale at Warwick Academy on Saturday, April 23 at 9am.
