Bermuda lose to Cayman Islands

Bermuda national rugby team suffered their second successive defeat after losing to Cayman Islands in Georgetown in their final Caribbean Championship game on Saturday.

Cayman Island 20 Bermuda 14

The defeat means Bermuda, who won the Championship in 2011 and 2012, will have to requalify for the North Zone second round stage next year.

Bermuda, under the stewardship of new coach Roedolf van der Westhuizen, lost their opening game of the Championship 24-14 against USA Rugby South.

Last summer saw Bermuda win their second successive title after beating Guyana at the National Sports Centre.
