Bermuda girls wallop Antigua

Bermuda U-17s 5 Bermuda Under-17s striker Precious Smith scored a staggering five goals in her side’s thrashing of Antigua and –Barbuda in the opening game of their World Cup qualifiers on Tuesday.

The huge win leaves Aaron Denkins’ team in a strong position to qualify from the group which also includes hosts Bahamas, who Bermuda face in their final game tomorrow.
Denkins said: “It was a great performance by Precious Smith who scored all five of our goals. We have won one game left against Bahamas and if we win that we will be through to the next round. We feel confident about that game.”
Bermuda take on Bahamas in Nassau tomorrow. Kick off is –7pm (Bermuda time).
