Young Zebras handed funds for studying
Ten talented young footballers have become the recipients of funding raised by the PHC Foundation Scholarship Charity.
In total, $39,800 was awarded to the youngsters to assist in their studies, both locally and overseas.
Over the last three years, the PHC Foundation has raised more than $100,000 to financially help young Zebras players with their academic endeavours.
The recent awards presentation held at XL House was attended by Bermuda Football Association president Larry Mussenden, who said the PHC Foundation is a model for the other clubs on the Island.
Senior year prep school student Tre Ming was very appreciative of his award and said: “It gives me that needed help in the financial field and it will help me on my life’s journey.”
Sophomore Casey Castle was grateful for the role that football has played in assisting him to pursue his BA in Finance at the University of Indianapolis.
He said football had taught him determination and discipline.
