Somerset Trojans came from behind to topple defending Women’s Futsal League champions North Village Rams at Dellwood Middle School Gym at the weekend.Led by a hat trick from Eva Frazzoni, Trojans recorded a hard fought 6-4 win over the reigning league champs.Dazhja Greaves added a brace for the West Enders while Sierra Fisher also got her name on the scoresheet in her team’s inspiring win.Rams replied through goals from the versatile Leilanni Nisbett, Kyla Ramatar and Whitnae Duerr who netted a brace.The league champs jumped out to an early lead only for Trojans to claw their back to leave both teams deadlocked at 2-2 at the half.Dazha Greaves and Lissa Fisher were also influential in Somerset’s big win.PHC Zebras recorded last weekend’s biggest win in a lopsided 10-0 demolition of Young Men’s Social Club Bluebirds.Aaliyah Nolan led Zebras’ goal feast with five goals while Micah Pond netted a brace and Sideya Dill, Chyna Young and Raeesha Shakir added one apiece.The final match up saw Dandy Stars Gold withstand an impressive second-half fightback in a 6-4 win against a more youthful Dandy Stars Brown line-up.Cleshaunay Darrell Virgil netted five goals in Dandy Stars Gold’s hard fought win while Atiyah Symonds also got in on the scoring act.Dandy Stars Brown, who trailed 4-1 at the half, replied through goals from Jada Samuels, Cally Blankendal and Leah Smith who netted a brace.Women’s Futsal League action continues on Saturday at Dellwood Middle School Gym.
