BBFS beaten in final Cup match

The touring Bermuda Brazilian Football School (BBFS) went down 6-3 to Brondby in their final match at the Brondby Cup in Denmark. The hosts of the tournament went ahead 3-0 inside the opening ten minutes and although the Bermuda side fought hard they were unable to get back into the match.Erik Correia, Christen Lugo- Elibox, and Richard Jones jr scored in the loss. The result left the club with a record of three win, three losses and a draw.“The final standing was disappointing as we were aiming for a top-four finish and we will end up in sixth place,” said a BBFS spokesperson.“The boys have learned some valuable lessons, both on and off the field, after playing against Premier academy youth teams and I look forward to seeing an improvement in our final tournament.“Two of our three losses have come against two of Denmark’s top youth academies and the other against the group finalists also from Denmark.“The BBFS boys have impressed with their superior technical skills but we have to do better with our passing formations and defending on corners and set pieces.”The squad continue their Scandinavian tour tomorrow when they travel to the Vildbjerg Cup and will play in seven v seven tournament.
