Allan Douglas Jr netted a hat-trick to inspire visiting St David's to an emphatic 4-1 victory over Paget Lions in a First Division encounter at Southampton Oval yesterday.

St David's are top of the table after Young Men's Social Club crashed to an emphatic 6-1 defeat to Somerset Eagles at White Hill Field where they also had two players sent off.

Douglas put St David's ahead when he broke the deadlock in the fourth minute. The St David's striker doubled his team's lead from the penalty spot in the 36th minute before Paget pulled one back in the 38th minute through Y-Ron Astwood.

Douglas completed his hat-trick in the 67th minute to restore the visiting side's two-goal cushion before Shea Pitcher Jr extended the match further beyond Paget's reach when he scored in the 89th minute.

Putting a blemish to St David's convincing victory was the 88th minute sending off of Dmitri Burchall for foul and abusive language.

Eagles, unbeaten going into the weekend, had a day to forget at White Hill Field where the home team scored three goals in each half on their way to their biggest win of the season.

Davin Riley-Clarke opened the scoring in the twelfth minute before Robert Rawlings equalised in the 23rd minute.

A penalty by Anwar Telford in the 35th minute put Eagles in front as Kanhai fray added a third in the 42nd minute to cushion the home team's lead at the break. Nathan Rego got in on the scoring act with two goals in the 56th and 80th minutes as Telford also added another in the 76th minute.

Young Men's Social Club had top scorer Clay Darrell sent off in the 61st minute for foul language while Callan Woolridge was ejected in the 90th minute for a second yellow card.

St George's got back to winning ways with a 2-0 win over X-Roads at Wellington Oval, as a first-half brace by Jarizinho Bassett proved to be enough for the home side who moved to within two points of Social Club.

Bassett broke the deadlock in the fourth minute and added a second six minutes later to seal the points.

On Saturday night, Flanagan's Onions and BAA drew 2-2 at Goose Gosling Field. Kevin Ronaldson put Onions ahead in the seventeenth minute before Lequan Thomas equalised in the 43rd minute. Phil Matthews restored the Onions lead two minutes into the second half before BAA got a second equaliser, this time when Jamin Lottimore found the net in the 57th minute.
