Lambe suffers defeat on Cambridge debut

Reggie Lambe came off in the 83rd minute as Cambridge lost 3-0 away to Port Vale

Reggie Lambe endured a difficult debut for Cambridge United who lost 3-0 away to Port Vale on the opening day of the Sky Bet League Two season yesterday.

The Bermuda forward, who signed for Cambridge from Carlisle United in May, was substituted in the 83rd minute.

Port Vale took the lead at the end of the first half through Ricky Miller before Tom Pope bagged a second-half brace, converting a penalty in the 47th and scoring again in the 69th.

Danté Leverock played the full match as Narva Trans suffered a 2-1 defeat at home to Paide in the Estonian Premier Division yesterday.

Dimitry Barkov gave home side the lead in the 23rd minute before Ander Ott Valge struck twice for Paide, his first in first-half stoppage time and then in the 57th.

Meanwhile Willie Clemons, the Bermuda midfielder, was sent off in Bodens’ 1-1 draw at home to Hudiksvalls in the Swedish fourth tier today.

Bermuda defender William White played in Narpes Kraft’s 3-0 defeat away to Akatemia today in the Finnish second tier.
