Nathan Trott's impressive streak of clean sheets for England Under-20s came to a halt as his team lost 3-1 away to Holland in an international friendly.

The Bermuda goalkeeper went into the match in Katwijk having not conceded in his four previous appearances for coach Paul Simpson's squad.

Things seemed promising for the visiting side who made a dream start when Eddie Nketiah put them in front after just seven minutes.

However, Holland staged a second-half comeback to secure an impressive win in front of their own fans. Tahith Chong started the fightback when he finally broke Trott's resistance with a 62nd minute equaliser.

The home side then surged ahead 13 minutes later via a strike from Dylan Vente before Ferdy Kadioglu killed the game off with a goal two minutes from the end.

Simpson changed his entire squad from the one that beat Switzerland 2-0 in last week's friendly at St George's Park in which Trott was among the unused substitutes. England prevailed with goals from George Hirst and Elliot Embleton.

Trott, who plays for West Ham's Under-23s, made his England Under-20 debut in a 3-0 win away to Holland last September and also kept clean sheets against the Czech Republic, Portugal and Poland.

He was also a member of the England squad that won the 2017 European Under-19 Championship in Georgia. The former BAA player signed an initial 2½-year deal with West Ham in January 2016, which has since been extended until 2020. He has established himself as the No 1 for the club's Premier League 2 side and has also been included in the club's Premier League side.

The England Under-20 are scheduled to play two friendlies next month. They will host Italy Under-20 on October 9 before travelling to the Czech Republic five days later to face the home side.
