Wells strikes in QPR draw

In-form Nahki Wells scored again for QPR

Nahki Wells scored his third goal for Queens Park Rangers in a 2-2 draw away to Rotherham in the Sky Bet Championship tonight.

Wells, on loan from Premier League side Burnley, levelled the score at 1-1 in the twelfth minute to cancel out Will Vaulks’s sixth-minute opener.

Rotherham restored their lead through Clark Robertson in the fifteenth minute before a diving header in stoppage time from Luke Freeman earned QPR a point.

Steve McClaren, the QPR manager, said: “I think we deserved more than a point but credit to Rotherham. They’ve got a great record here and I thought it was a great, end-to-end game.?

“We knew it was going to be difficult and it was but I am proud of the players and their performance. Even if they had lost I would have been proud of that performance.?”
