PHC look to reclaim top spot

PHC Zebras will be aiming to reclaim the top spot in the Premier Division when they meet Dandy Town at Goose Gosling Field at 9pm tonight in a rearranged match.

The defending champions are level on points with X-Roads who climbed back into first place on goal difference after a 3-3 draw with Paget Lions last month. The orginal match between PHC and Town was postponed on November 25 because of a flooded pitch at St John’s Field. Victory for PHC would move them three points clear of X-Roads and four ahead of Robin Hood in what is looking to be a three-horse title race, with eight points separating Hood from fourth-place BAA. So tight is it in the bottom half of the table that Town, second from bottom, could climb from ninth to a third-place tie if they pull off a victory.

Town have lost four of their last five matches. Cecoy Robinson, the PHC captain, comes into the game off a hat-trick in a Friendship Trophy win over Paget last weekend. He took his tally to 12 in all competitions, with six coming in the league.
