Boulevard squander three-goal advantage

Two goals: Ian Coke

Boulevard 3 North Village 3

Boulevard had to settle for a share of the spoils after surrendering a three-goal against North Village against Lord’s yesterday.

Boulevard got things going in the eighth minute courtesy of a strike from Khiry Easton after he slot past Village goalkeeper Tahj Bell. Three minutes later, the Boulevard were on the scoresheet again after miscommunication between defender Kyler Knights and Bell allowed Coke to swoop in and shoot low inside the far post.

Boulevard upped the ante and were rewarded with their third goal in the 32nd minute. Coke made a long run down the left and crossed into the box to Aaron Foggo who blasted his effort off the crossbar. The rebound came to Coke who tapped home.

Village then switched gears, scoring in the 38th after an opportunistic strike from Jonathan Briers following a goalmouth scramble. The home side scored again in the 44th minute after Chekai Zuill outpaced his defender and slotted past Boulevard goalkeeper Ronniko Burchall to get his side back into contention.

Village continued their momentum, drawing level in the 72nd minute after a cross from Jason Davis appeared to glance of the head of Boulevard’s Antoine Famous and into the net.
