Wells set for qualifier

QPR forward Nahki Wells

Nahki Wells has been called up by Bermuda for their crucial Concacaf Nations League qualifier away to Dominican Republic next month, Queens Park Rangers announced yesterday.

The 28-year-old forward scored on his return to international duty in a 1-0 victory at home to El Salvador at the National Stadium in November.

Bermuda’s match against Dominican Republic on March 24 has great significance as Kyle Lightbourne’s side could qualify for the Gold Cup for the first time.

Bermuda are seventh in the Nations League standings with two wins from three group matches.

Wells, who is on loan at QPR from Premier League side Burnley, has scored eight goals in all competitions this season.
