West Ham considering loan offers for Trott

Attracting interest: Nathan Trott is set for a loan move

Nathan Trott could be set for another loan move with West Ham United reportedly weighing up a number of offers from interested clubs. The 21-year-old has long been earmarked as the potential future first choice goalkeeper at the London Stadium, however it appears for now at least his immediate future looks likely to be away from the club in another temporary move.Trott impressed on loan at AFC Wimbledon in the Sky Bet League One last season, where he made 26 appearances in total in his first taste of senior football and West Ham want the England youth international to continue his development with another season of regular football.Newspaper reports in England claimed Trott was subject of interest this summer from Derby County, Doncaster Rovers and Shrewsbury Town, while West Ham have also reportedly opted against agreeing to a deal with Coventry City who wanted to take him on loan but initially only as a back-up option. The Premier League outfit want Trott to join a club as their first choice and are assessing approaches from clubs in the Championship, League One and also Europe as they map out his next stage in development. He joined West Ham in January 2016 after a recommendation from former player and Bermuda forward Clyde Best, and drew high praise from the club’s former goalkeeper Shaka Hislop who said the goalkeeper had “all the attributes”, with Trott standing at 6ft 2in and being renowned for his ability with the ball at his feet.Trott, who represented Bermuda at various youth levels before switching allegiances to England, where he has featured six times for the under-20s and been included in Aidy Boothroyd’s under-21s, has a deal with West Ham until 2022.
