Coach Cecoy Robinson is calling on the island to get behind his Bermuda Under-17 team that will travel to Bradenton, Florida, for the Concacaf Qualifiers that are scheduled for three locations from Tuesday to September 8.

Qualifiers will also be held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and Managua, Nicaragua, and Robinson is calling on support for the team as they attempt to qualify for the Concacaf Under-17 Championship in early 2023.

“This is a very talented group of players,” said Robinson, still an active player himself with league champions Dandy Town.

“All the boys have shown great commitment and determination in preparation for this tour. We need the island to get behind our young Gombey Warriors and show support for the next generation.

“I am confident they will make everyone proud.”

Bermuda were drawn in group A with Guyana, Bahamas, Bonaire, St Martin and the British Virgin Islands. Matches in the group will be played at the IMG Academy in Bradenton.

After round-robin play, the group winners will advance to the championship finals scheduled for Guatemala next February.

All matches will be shown live on the ConcacafGo app, with highlights on the Concacaf YouTube channel.
