Defending champions PHC Zebras and Devonshire Cougars will do battle in what promises to be an exciting Premier Division clash at Devonshire Recreation Club tomorrow.

There is plenty at stake for both teams who cannot afford any slip-ups in what has turned out to be a tight three-horse title race, with only three points separating leaders Zebras from third-placed Cougars.

The hosts edged Zebras 2-1 in the reverse league fixture at PHC Field last October.

Second-placed North Village, the remaining team thick in the hunt for the title, trail Zebras by a solitary point heading into their fixture against mid-table Hamilton Parish at Wellington Oval today (3pm).

Elsewhere, Somerset Trojans welcome Young Men’s Social Club to Somerset Cricket Club (9pm), which is of vital importance to the hosts who sit in the relegation zone, three points adrift of safety.

Social Club will also be keen to come away with the points and distance themselves from the relegation battle.

They battled to a 2-2 stalemate in the reverse fixture at Devonshire Rec.

St George’s Colts host bottom team X-Roads Warriors at Wellington Oval tomorrow in another encounter which will also have a strong bearing on relegation.

St George’s won the reverse fixture 2-1 at Lord’s in St David’s.

Dandy Town will also be keen to steer farther away from the drop zone heading into their fixture with Paget Lions at Goose Gosling Field in tomorrow’s remaining top-flight clash.

Paget prevailed 2-0 in the first league meeting between the two rivals.

Meanwhile, runaway First Division leaders Devonshire Colts have the opportunity to inch closer to sealing promotion when they travel to bottom team Ireland Island Rangers at Somerset Cricket Club tonight (7pm).

Elsewhere, Boulevard and Wolves will both be keen to keep their promotion hopes alive when they lock horns in a crucial contest at Goose Gosling Field tonight (9pm).

Southampton Rangers and Robin Hood will likewise attempt to keep their promotion bids on track when they square off at Southampton Oval tomorrow.

The remaining First Division match will see Vasco host St David’s Warriors at Goose Gosling Field tomorrow.

Somerset Eagles have a bye.
