Southampton runner Otis Robinson set a personal best for 800m indoors at the weekend when he clocked two minutes and 17 seconds for the metric half-mile at an athletics meeting in Birmingham, UK.He came seventh out of nine runners in the race, which took place in the NIA Arena. Robinson, who is currently based in the Birmingham area of England, warmed up by taking part in a 1500m race an hour earlier, running 4.40. He then pushed himself harder in the 800m event, which was his main focus of the day.
