Rego reaches doubles final

Bermuda tennis player Chris Rego has reached the doubles final at the COPA Universidad Galoleo in Guatemala.

Rego, who is playing on the COTECC Junior Circuit, has reached the final after he and his doubles partner Rodolfo Diaz, of Cuba, beat Ernesto and Juan Diego Telles from Spain, Rego and Diaz 6-1, 6-4 win.

They will take on Dominica's William Kirkman and Jose Olivares in the final this weekend.

Later this month Rego, 13, will join his Bermuda team-mates for their World Junior Tennis Championship qualifiers to be held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
