Bermuda looking to three-peat

Three Bermuda youngsters are heading to Suriname today looking for a hat-trick of wins in the –International Tennis FederationUnder-13 Caribbean Development CahmpionshipsEva Frazzoni, Nicholas Lines and William way are travelling to Paramaribo for the August 29, September 3 tournament.Frazzoni is the only member to survive from last year’s title winning side and Bermuda will once again be coached by Jerome Bradshaw.“Our players have been training and competing throughout the summer break and are looking forward to doing Bermuda proud in this years event,” said Bradshaw.“This is the last opportunity for this group to compete in this age restricted event.”Fewer than 20 Nations in the Caribbean and Americas Region have been invited to participate in this six day tournament, consisting of singles and doubles play.Points are awarded to nations according to where their players finish in the draw.The nation with the highest cumulative points is crowned champions.There is additional opportunity for the best players who show promise and meet a certain criteria to receive additional support and funding from the ITF Development Fund, to continue with their tennis development.The 2010 event was held in Curacao, where Chris Rego, James Finnigan, Eva Frazzoni and Taylor Mcharg completed the double for Bermuda.
