Alex Mingozzi and Matteo Marighella are looking to regain their ITF Beach Tennis International title today after seeing off Vinny Font and Gui Prata at Horseshoe Bay yesterday. The Italians, two-time champions and beaten finalists a year ago, battled the elements as well as their opponents on the beach to set up an all-Italian final.Their foes for the 2011 crown will be Marco Garavini and Paolo Tarreazi who will be in their first final in Bermuda and will be underdogs.“The two semi-finals were incredible to say the least when you consider the weather was less than ideal,” said co-host Mark Cordeiro.“Both semis were great in both action and drama, we had to stop a few times due to the weather and managed to get the day down, so the final will be tomorrow and is sure to be another great match.”The women’s final will also be an all-Italian affair when Simona Bonadonna teams up Eva D’Elia to square off against –Laura Olivieri and Simona –Briganti.Action starts at 11am with the women’s final before the men take to the sand to do battle.
