Shum set for close battle with Trott

In the running: Victoria Fiddick is five points behind Mairi Redmond in the Senior Masters category

The final race of the Bermuda National Athletics Association Cross Country Series will be held at the Botanical Gardens on Saturday, with some close battles for age group titles.

Marion Chevereau leads Jessie Marshall by just four points in the under-17 girls, while Deanna Didyk leads Charmaine Thomas by seven points in the Masters Women. Mairi Redmond holds a five-point lead over Victoria Fiddick in the Senior Masters

In the Open Men, Teddy Shum leads Nathan Trott by just two points, while Ryan Outerbridge and Johndell Cumberbatch both have 36 points and hold comfortable leads in the under-17 and under-20 age groups. Omari Hart leads the Masters Men on 25 points, eight points ahead of Colm Homan.

Just one point separates Twilton Hardtman from Sean Kelly in the Senior Masters Men.

Amaris Munya leads Kelise Wade by four points in the under-10 girls. Maximilian Kimberley and Jace Donawa hold four-point leads in the under-10 and under-12 boys. Jayson Simons leads the under-14 boys on 29 points.

Saturday’s races will be hosted by the Pacers Track Club. The National Championships will be held on December 8 over a new course at Clearwater Beach.
