Players urged to match overseas challenge

Local players are being encouraged to show the best of Bermuda tennis by entering the Bermuda Breezes USTA National Championships, taking place between April 15 to 21.

Organisers of the tournament at Coral Beach and Tennis Club have been encouraged by the response from US tennis players but would like to see more Bermuda residents enter before the March 31 deadline.

Last year several local residents became US National Tennis Champions after winning their age categories and the tournament is hoping to repeat the same success this year.

The tournament will be hosting various categories including men's and women's singles and doubles in age categories 40, 50, 55, 60, 65 and 70 years, while mixed doubles age categories are 40, 50 and 60 years.
