Whitter claims pair of titles

Mackai Whitter won the boys' under-14 and under-16 titles in the Highland Spring Junior Open at Pomander Gate Tennis Club last weekend.

Whitter defeated Antonio Warner 6-4, 6-1 in the under-14 division and the same opponent 6-3, 6-1 in the under-16 division.

Scott Redmond beat Tariq Simons 7-6, 4-6, 13-11 in the boys' under-18 division, while Asia-Leigh Hollis defeated Grace McFadden 6-2, 6-2 in the girls' under-14 division.

In the boys' under-12 division, Vinny Boisvert overcame Johnny Bart 6-0, 6-3, while Amira El Karfa triumphed over Evi Robb 6-4, 6-1 in the girls' under-12 division.

In the girls' under-10 division, Zoe Mir beat Jemma Konyecsni 4-1, 4-3, and Ethan Anderson secured victory over Tristan Pettit 4-2, 4-1 in the boys' under-10 age group.
