Triathlete Nicholas Pilgrim finishes in top 20 at CAC Games

Nicholas Pilgrim made great improvements to achieve 20th place in the Central American and Caribbean Games, achieving a time of 1:59:07.

The triathlete’s effort was marked by a strong beginning, as he consistently held 10th and 11th place for the swimming and bicycling portions of the race. However, during the final running segment, Pilgrim dropped nine places to twentieth.

Nick was seeded 28th among the starting field, having just been crowned champion last month in the Liberty Mutual National Sprint Triathlon Championship.

Mexico’s Aram Peñaflor left with gold (1:44:51), followed by their Crisanto Grajales (1:45:51), and Barbados’ Matthew Wright (1:46:36).
