Swimmers in Sound marathon

More than 100 overseas swimmers along with locals will take part in the annual Zobec Round the Sound long distance swimathon on Sunday.

The charity event is organised by the Dolphins club and will see swimmers take to the water in Harrington Sound in five categories.

Starting at 10am is the 6.1 mile swim from the Aquarium while the 4.5 mile swim begins at My Lord's Bay dock at 10.45.

Also scheduled is a 2.5 mile swim from Bermuda Properties dock (11.45am), a 1.25 mile swim from Turtle Island dock (12.15pm) and a half-mile swim starting at Harrington Sound dock (12.45pm).

Prizes will be awarded to those swimmers who have collected the highest amount of pledges.
