Silver medal joy in Barbados
Bermuda enjoyed a promising start to the Central American and Caribbean Amateur Confederation Swimming Championships in Barbados, winning a silver medal.
The success came in the mixed 13-14 50 metres freestyle relay, where Sam Williamson, Jaedyn Judd, Finn Moseley and Elan Daley touched the wall in a time of 1min 45.95sec, narrowly missing out on gold to Mexico, who won in 1:45.09.
Taylor White finished fifth in the girls 13 and over 800 freestyle event, in 9:40.70, while there was also a fifth-place finish for the mixed 11-12 50 freestyle team of Imojen Judd, Elijah Daley, Bella Howes and Brandon Adkins in 1:51.27.
The mixed 15-17 50 freestyle relay team of Logan Watson Brown, Keagan Wolley, Gabriela Pitman and Caleb Ingham finished sixth in 1:45.64, while Brian Desmond finished seventh in the 15-17 1,500, in 18:12.75.
