Elbow Beach has announced the winners of their first Colleague Photography Competition.Staff from four different departments at the South Shore hotel Human Resources, IT, Sales & Marketing and Security and Engineering submitted pictures over a two-month period beginning in June.The photographs had to fit into one of three categories: Flora and Fauna, People and Culture, and Landscapes. All photographs had to be taken on the Elbow Beach property.Pictures were printed and framed by the Human Resources Department and displayed for staff and guests on August 12. The photographs in each category were then judged anonymously by local photographer Zeudi Hinds and art gallery manager Laura Lyons.Michael Davis, who works in IT, won best picture in both the Flora and Fauna and People and Culture categories. Meanwhile Monica Massey, who works in Human Resources, won in the Landscapes category.Each received $150 for each winning picture. All competitors were given a framed copy of their photographs.
