Hospitality industry event for students today

Are you interested in finding out more about the wide range of careers up for grabs in the hospitality industry?

If so, today’s the day you need to head to the Fairmont Hamilton Princess Hotel to have all your questions answered.

The Bermuda Hospitality Institute is hosting a student round-table discussion and networking event today from 5.15pm to 7.30pm.

The event called “Hospitality careers: More than a job, it’s a lifestyle!” will see young people talking to representatives from every sector of the industry.

Those people ready to talk you though their line of work include professionals from hotels, restaurants and tourist activities, as well as transportation and wholesalers.

Karla Lacey, BHI CEO, said: “There are numerous misconceptions about the hospitality industry. This is a great opportunity to provide a true picture of the variety of career opportunities for students who typically get their information from sources other than those directly involved.”

She added: “It’s not often young people have the opportunity to spend quality time with those at the top of their field. The professionals participating understand the impact they can have on the future workforce by sharing their experiences.”

The evening for high school graduates and current college students has been purposely planned to promote “great interactive dialogue”.

For an invite to the event contact the BHI through its website by calling 292-5049 or e-mail info[AT]
