Tourism Minister Furbert in UK

Business Development and Tourism Minister Wayne Furbert has been thrown in at the deep end with a business trip to the UK just days after he was appointed.

Mr Furbert flew to London at the weekend to fly the flag for Bermuda at the annual World Travel Market.

The day of back-to-back meetings culminated with Mr Furbert hosting the annual Bermuda Appreciation Dinner at a restaurant in Canary Wharf. Miss Bermuda Jana Outerbridge, trade partners, media travel bloggers and friends of Bermuda attended the glitzy event.

Mr Furbert has also participated in a TV interview and a radio broadcast, which went out to 15 radio stations across the UK.

Mr Furbert will spend the next couple of days continuing to meet with key trade partners and the media to introduce himself and his ideas to try to increase visitor numbers.
