Tourism TV commercials to run locally

Television commercials promoting Bermuda as a top tourism destination in the US are also being aired on local television this month.

The So Much More advertising campaign, which targets the North America market, features a series of 15-second and 30-second films highlighting Bermuda as a perfect destination for sports, shopping and weddings.

The Bermuda Tourism Board decided to run the adverts locally to enable residents to see how the Island is being promoted overseas.

Board chairman David Dodwell said: “The idea behind ‘So Much More’ ultimately came from the people of Bermuda and the quintessential experience that defines this island.

“We believe it is very important for Bermudians to see how their Island is being branded in the North America marketplace, so we have a greater awareness of the guests’ expectations upon arrival.

“The campaign showcases many aspects of our island culture and is intended to communicate in a fresh and exciting way that Bermuda offers not only a breathtaking island with natural beauty, but also a nearby, culturally infused destination with a variety of things to see, do and enjoy in all seasons.”

The adverts are now running on ZBM Channel 9 and VSB Channel 11 during evening newscasts.
