The Bermuda Tourism Authority’s chief executive has been recognised by a travel publication.

Kevin Dallas was named a Travel Vanguard for 2018 by Afar magazine. Mr Dallas was one of nine people recognised by the magazine for “helping travellers have deeper, richer, and more meaningful experiences”.

Paul Telford, chairman of the BTA, congratulated Mr Dallas on the recognition. Mr Telford said: “We’re all proud of the positive media attention the Afar Vanguard Award is shining on our destination.”

A press release from the tourism quango this afternoon said that the recognition of Mr Dallas by the Afar, which has more than a million readers, is the latest in a list of more than 30 honours of Bermuda in the past two years.
