Darrell promotes Bermuda in New York
Owen Darrell, the Minister of Tourism, Transport, Culture and Sport highlighted Bermuda’s tourism sector at Caribbean Week 2026 in New York.
The annual event, organised by the Caribbean Tourism Organisation, is intended to bring together tourism leaders, policymakers and industry stakeholders from across the region to discuss opportunities and challenges.
Mr Darrell said: “Caribbean Week provides an important opportunity for Bermuda to showcase the strength of our tourism industry, strengthen regional partnerships and engage with key stakeholders who play a role in shaping the future of tourism.”
On Monday, Mr Darrell joined tourism officials from across the region for the opening ceremony, held at the InterContinental New York Times Square, and participated in the “Around the Caribbean in 60 Minutes” session, offering an update on Bermuda’s tourism sector.
Mr Darrell outlined Bermuda’s ongoing efforts to strengthen visitor experiences, increase tourism investment and support sustainable growth.
Mr Darrell is scheduled to take part in the CTO Council of Ministers Meeting this morning as part of the event, which will continue until Thursday.
