All-Americans for Darrell and Evans
Bermuda athletes Aaron Evans and Latroya Darrell have been named second team all-Americans for their outstanding indoor seasons.
The two University of Georgia athletes competed at the NCAA Indoor National Championships over the weekend. Evans recorded a time of one minute 52.67 seconds to finish 14th in the 800 metres at his second NCAA meet. He became the indoor school record holder in the event earlier this year after clocking a 1:48.07 at the Husky Classic in Seattle.
Darrell reached her longest mark of 12.55 metres in the triple jump to take 15th in the competition. It was also her first NCAA meet after transferring from Central Arizona.
