Middle distance runner Juma Mouchette and his Central Arizona College team-mates finished runners-up at the recent Mesa Thunderbird Classic cross-country event.Mouchette finished 49th in a time of 28 minutes, 15 seconds, helping his team garner enough points to grab second place in the men’s division.“It was tough out there, the conditions were pretty cold, very hard for me to breathe because of the altitude that I’m at,” said Mouchette who is in his first year at the college.“The coach was pretty pleased with my results in my first college race, I have never ran a 8k before so I didn’t know what to expect.”Gerardo Villagomez led the Mesa men’s team to the championship in a race held on the Mesa course.
