Police have called for witnesses to a crash on Monday that left a motorcycle rider seriously injured.

The rider remains in hospital with “extensive” injuries after the crash, at the junction of Court and Victoria Street in Hamilton, which occurred shortly after 11.20am.

The other vehicle was said to be a van.

A police spokesman said anyone who was in the area and saw the collision or its aftermath is needed to piece together events and help determine if an offence was committed.

Witnesses should contact Pc Noah Harvey, the investigating officer, at 247-1704 or the police main line at 295-0011.
