Bus detours continue for Harrington Sound Road repairs

Detours continue on bus routes one and three, the Department of Public Transportation has advised.

The route diversion is owing to road works in the Shark Hole Hill and Harrington Sound Road areas.

Route one buses will continue to travel up Collector’s Hill on to Verdmont Road, turning right onto Middle Road to Flatts Bridge then on North Shore Road to connect back onto route one at the roundabout at Wilkinson Avenue.

Route three buses will continue on to Flatts Bridge and North Shore Road to Wilkinson Avenue in Hamilton Parish.

A department spokeswoman said: “Test bus runs will continue to be done to determine the safe passage of buses and the public will be notified upon the resumption of normal routings.

“The DPT thanks the public for their continued patience and co-operation.”
