Air Canada will resume direct flights to Bermuda on August 6, according to a Canadian travel website.

TravelWeek reported yesterday that Air Canada service between Toronto and Bermuda would restart with flights running on Fridays and Saturdays.

A check on Air Canada’s website showed it was possible to book flights to and from Bermuda from Friday, August 6 forward.

Air Canada and WestJet flights to Bermuda from Toronto were grounded in January in a bid to stop the spread of Covid-19.

Earlier yesterday, Lawrence Scott, the Minister of Transport, told the House of Assembly that Air Canada flights were expected to resume soon and service to both the US and the UK were expected to continue to grow.
