Woman, 21, in hospital with serious arm injuries after crash

A 21-year-old woman was in hospital last night with serious injuries to her arm after a three-vehicle crash.

The accident on Somerset Road at its junction with Scaur Lane, Sandys, happened at 5.30pm and traffic diversions were in place until just after 8pm.

A police spokeswoman said the woman was headed east on a rental cycle.

She was in collision with a truck headed west and an another cycle on her side of the road.

The rider of the other motorcycle, a 60-year-old man, was also taken to hospital for treatment for leg injuries said to be minor.
