Pedestrian, 10, released from hospital after collision

A 10-year-old boy was yesterday treated and released after being struck by a car in Pembroke.

A police spokesman said the boy was struck by a car in the eastbound lane as he attempted to cross Marsh Folly Road at about 3.30pm.

The boy was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital in the company of one of his parents and discharged from hospital yesterday evening after medical examinations.

The spokesman added: “The car driver involved, said to be a 33-year-old Pembroke woman, was not hurt.”

Any witnesses that have not already come forward are encouraged to call Constable Helen McHugh on 211 or e-mail hmchugh@bps.bm.”
