Single lane traffic on section of Palmetto Road

A section of Palmetto Road in Pembroke closed will be reduced to a single lane until early next month, the Ministry of Public Works has announced.
A spokesman for the Ministry said that the stretch of the road near Bishop Spencer Road would be closed to allow a storm drain to be cleared out.
The work is expected to continue until May 5 with traffic in the area managed by Public Works staff.
“The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full co-operation of the public and apologises for any inconvenience that may result,” the spokesman added.
