Police seek witnesses to Sunday motorcycle accident

A 44-year-old man who sustained face and head injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Sunday remains in the Intensive Care Unit at King Edward VII Hospital.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash involving the motorcyclist that occurred near the east bound lane bus stop on Crow Lane at about 11.45pm.

A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service said: “Indications are the male motorcyclist was travelling along the eastbound carriageway of Crow Lane on the approach to the North Roundabout when he somehow became involved in a collision and was ejected from the bike.

“He suffered serious head and facial injuries as well as a serious injury to his left arm.

“He was provided treatment at the scene by EMTs and was subsequently transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.”

The investigation into this matter remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call Police Constable Mervin Homer on 295-0011 or via e-mail at mhomer@bps.bm.
