Boat owners and mooring licensees were reminded today to renew permits by the end of next month.

The Government highlighted that the registration period opened on April 1.

A statement from the Department of Marine and Ports Services, boats and moorings section, said the deadline for licensing renewals was midnight on May 31.

It added: “The 2025 decals must be placed by June 1 on all moorings and boats.

“Mooring licenses not renewed as of May 31 will incur a late fee.

“Renewal notices are no longer mailed; therefore, boat and mooring owners are advised to ensure they have the correct address on file with the department.

“Those who need to update their address can call the department, on 294-0419 or 294-0420 or e-mail boatsandmoorings@gov.bm to update their details.”

The statement explained: “Transfers of boats or moorings must be done in person with a photo ID at the department.

“Once a customer has provided their updated information, a link will be sent to their e-mail.

“This will allow owners to access their information online in future.”

Licensing fees can be found at marineandports.bm.

Payment can be made in person by cash, cheque or card at 108 Middle Road, Paget, from 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday. In-person payments must be completed before 4.30pm on May 31.

Online payments can be made if a customer has signed up to the service. The department noted that online payments made the week prior to June 1 could result in receipt of decals after that date.
