Senior injured in collision

A senior was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after being hit by a car on Friday, police said today.
The accident happened at the junction of Long Bay Lane and Nursery Lane, Sandys, some time between 9.45pm and 10pm.
According to a police spokesman, the car was travelling west along Long Bay Lane before making turning left into Nursery Lane and colliding with a 69-year-old male pedestrian.
