Emergency lane closure on Middle Road, Warwick

A temporary lane closure will be in effect until the end of this week on Middle Road, Warwick at St Anthony’s Church.

The Ministry of Public Works said the emergency measure near Burnt House Hill was required to accommodate trench work for a damaged underground cable.

It added: “The lane closure will affect the eastbound lane.”

A notice said the work started yesterday and will be carried out between 9am and 4pm until tomorrow.

It added: “Traffic control will be managed by Belco representatives with stop and go signs, temporary traffic lights and cones.

“Motorists are advised to use caution when entering the St Anthony’s Church parking lot.

“The Ministry of Public Works encourages the full co-operation of the public and apologises for any inconvenience that may result.”

Questions about the works can be directed to Shelton Thomas, a maintenance supervisor at Belco, on 235-1253.
